Paul Cruickshank

Hi! I'm Paul Cruickshank.

I'm a Washington, DC-based entrepreneur who has spent 12 years living in Beijing and Hong Kong. At Amazon China, I developed a cross-border supply-chain strategy that was implemented globally. I later co-founded and ran Linnai, an e-commerce business operating locally in 16 countries. Most recently, I've been building financial infrastructure for supply-chain decarbonization as a co-founder of Carbon3.

Before entering business, I earned a PhD in the history of science at Harvard. I'm fascinated by how economies develop, how people and technologies move across borders, and how ideas change as they encounter different cultures and institutions. That curiosity runs through my academic research and entrepreneurial work, and it's what draws me to unfamiliar industries and new business possibilities.

Through Aletheian Ventures, I bring that curiosity and hands-on operating experience to developing new technologies and businesses. If I've reached out, I'm not selling anything: I'm hoping to learn from your experience and find out what I'm missing. I'd be grateful for the time.
